Summer of 2011 will have many changes for our small family. Adam pursued a new job that is moving our family to McKinney, Texas. Starting June 1, he is working for Traxxas. And if a move isn't a big enough change already, we are expecting a baby girl due July 19. Alexa already loves "baby sister"! We feel strongly that God has been clear on His plans for us and that makes us so excited for what is in our near future. As we are (sadly) leaving many amazing, amazing friends and family in Kansas, we felt it was important to start the blog back up so we can keep everyone in the loop. Thank you all for your never ending support on this adventure for our growing family!

Playing Hard

Doesn't she look so grownup?!

-
Alexa was so entertained and playing so hard that she wouldn't look at the camera and smile for me! (just ignore the stream of drool... she's working on tooth number 16!)

There's a smile! almost... I suppose it's more of a look of "I'm having fun mom, so just leave me be." :)

Dear Alexa

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Zoo!

When it is beautiful outside, we just love going to the zoo! Alexa and I went to the zoo with her friend Gabe and his mom. It's early February but high 60's. Luckily, there was a decent windbreak in the zoo because there aren't many days here that are that nice in winter without the wind! Anyway... Our favorite siting were the giraffes! We caught them while they were feeding so we were able to see them really close. Alexa loves giraffes. She has one painted on the wall in her bedroom! (thanks to Grandpa Ewing) There was even a baby giraffe that was only 2 months old. So cute!
-
Here's a great smiling picture of Alexa! SO HAPPY!
-
Gabe didn't want to smile for me... But isn't he handsome?

-
The kids didn't want to smile together. But I promise, they were having a great time!
-
Here's what Alexa looked like towards the end of the visit! Guess it was more comfy to rest this way rather than laying back. Silly girl! :)

Bedhead

Look what we have to deal with every morning! Tell me this is the worst bedhead you've ever seen. I don't think these pictures do justice. :) Poor Alexa. I have to distract her with cheerios while I comb it out. Any suggestions??

Photo Shoot (in pj's)

Ok, so it's been a while since I've added pictures and I finally bought some batteries for the camera, so I decided to take a short photo shoot of Alexa. I know she's in her pj's but it's pj day here today! Alexa was full of smiles but she kept turning her head as soon as I took the picture. I did get a couple big smiles though!
-
She did smile here, I promise.

-
Alexa LOVES putting the balls in her tiger basketball hoop.

-
Working hard at it...
-
Still doesn't want to smile for the camera.
-
There we go! Nice drool though... And you can see her bottom premolar. Alexa is now up to 12 teeth and working on 2 more!
-
Nice BIG smile!

Back at the toys.

Happy Birthday Grandma Munsch

Alexa surprised Grandma and spend Grandma's birthday with her. Although Alexa has a cold and didn't feel the best, she gave some good smiles to Grandma.
-
Here they must have shared a funny joke.
-
Happy Birthday!

Aunt Tammy and Shy Alexa

Aunt Tammy was talking to Alexa through the computer. Alexa wasn't sure where the voice was coming from and then she was giving Aunt Tammy her shy smile.
