Summer of 2011 will have many changes for our small family. Adam pursued a new job that is moving our family to McKinney, Texas. Starting June 1, he is working for Traxxas. And if a move isn't a big enough change already, we are expecting a baby girl due July 19. Alexa already loves "baby sister"! We feel strongly that God has been clear on His plans for us and that makes us so excited for what is in our near future. As we are (sadly) leaving many amazing, amazing friends and family in Kansas, we felt it was important to start the blog back up so we can keep everyone in the loop. Thank you all for your never ending support on this adventure for our growing family!

Another Cute Picture

Random

Alexa is trying to hold her bottle already!

I just thought this was a cute picture!!

So today I had Alexa lie on her stomach while she was awake. (They say to do that so they try to lift their head and get their neck muscles stronger.) Anyway, she doesn't like being on her stomach and moves her head, arms, and legs as much as she can. And then I couldn't believe it - she rolled herself onto her back!! Now that has only happened once but I was impressed!!

Although Matty looks neglected... she's really not! Just thought everyone would like to know that Matty has been adjusting well to Alexa!! She likes to sniff - too bad we can't teach her to change diapers! :)

Matty has become protective already and has to be in the same room as Alexa most of the time!

More Visitors

We had some more visitors to see Alexa. Sorry, since Great Aunt Lorey was the first to hold Alexa, Adam didn't get a picture of them together.

Another Family Weekend

The fun of the first baby in the family - another fun filled weekend of family. Aunt Kari and Grandma and Grandpa Munsch came to visit. Everyone was excited to hold Alexa. Works for me! :) Here are some pictures of Alexa with the family.

Pretty Little Girl

Thanks to family and friends, Alexa has received several cute girly outfits! However, she has some growing to do before she can fit into them. No problem with that because we know she won't stay this small for very long. In fact, she was weighed at her doctor's appointment yesterday and she's a hefty 7 lb 6 oz! :) Anyway, Mom went out shopping yesterday and just had to buy little Alexa a girly outfit that could fit her now - or so Mom thought. I guess the "Newborn" size is still a little big on her. Anyway, below are a couple pictures of Alexa in her little girly outfit. Look how alert she is - it is suprising because she hardly slept last night!
(P.S. Be waiting for pictures of Alexa in her new KSU sweatsuit! She just had to have a KSU outfit to wear when we visit Manhattan next week!)

Family Pictures

The Ewing's came to visit this weekend. We just hung out with Alexa all weekend - she is full of fun! :) We did manage to take plenty of pictures. Below are just a couple.

Still in the Sun

This picture was just too cute!

Good news though! The jaundice is almost gone and we don't have to keep her on the BiliBlanket anymore!!

Bath Time

Here are some pictures of the 2nd bath we gave to Alexa since she's been home. Of course she does not like the actual bath. However, she LOVES the after bath. She cries and cries until we put her hooded towel on her and she is instantly silent and happy!

Alexa was holding on to Mom's arm as tight as she could!

Happy After Bath Time!

Isn't she the cutest?!?

Sun Tanning Already?!

Alexa went in for her first doctor's appointment on Wednesday. She was looking kind of yellow, so they tested her bilirubin levels (jaundice). The results came back elevated so on Thursday we had to wrap her up with a BiliBlanket. This blanket glows on her back and the light rays will help break down the bilirubin. I just had to take the pictures below. She had the blanket on her back and the sun light from the window was shining on her front. It must have felt good because she was all stretched out while she was sleeping!
