Laugh Alexa

So I promised a picture before Christmas... will this do? Here's a little video of Alexa while we were in Hays for Christmas. She laughs when we kiss her belly! And yes, you will hear her snorting! :)

December

Wow, it's December 17th and only the first post of the month! Excuses, excuses... Well our computer started having problems. It has be out of use and then took a trip to Hays to be fixed. The computer is fixed and we will be getting it this weekend. So I promise I will post a few pictures before Christmas! In the meantime... here's a little update about Miss Alexa...

Alexa had her 14th month appointment at the beginning of the month. She weighed 26 pounds and was 31 and 5/8 inches long. Both are in the 90th percentile so she is proportional! :) Alexa did get her 1st two premolars in. She has been working on the 3rd for a while. She is nonstop on the teeth!

Alexa has been VERY happy and smiles all the time. She has started to just laugh and laugh at dogs. She'll laugh at Matty a lot and when she sees Sugar, Alexa laughs at her too. It is so cute! Guess she likes dogs! Alexa is ticklish too and giggles when she is being tickled. The consensus of everyone who knows Alexa... she is such a SWEET girl!

Winter is Here

It is COLD outside and mom hasn't taken any pictures of Alexa in a long time... so what should we do...? Here are some pictures of Alexa all cute and bundled up for this cold cold day. The wind is something else. Poor little girl was about in tears when that wind hit her face.

Gap

I'm sorry... I know it's been too long to go without posting cute pictures of Alexa. The past couple of weeks haven't been too exciting. In fact, Alexa is working on teeth 9 and 10! She starting her first premolar two weeks ago and it has been really bothering her. So we've been just trying to keep her happy and comfortable! I will get a couple pictures posted for sure before Thanksgiving. Sorry for the delay!

Zoo in November

Who goes to the zoo in November? We do! When it is 80 degrees in November in Kansas, that's pretty hard to pass up. Oh it was beautiful!! What a nice afternoon for Alexa with her mommy and daddy.

Alexa took a little nap during the trip. She looked pretty refreshed after the nap. Too bad we were in the parking lot to go home! (And like I said, Alexa has grown out of her summer clothes...)

Alexa's First Pumpkin

Alexa had her first experience at carving a pumpkin. The pumpkin turned out great! Thanks to a little help from daddy. Alexa did enjoy herself though. Boy, all she wanted to do was eat the pumpkin...

Beautiful Day on K-State's Campus

We had the most beautiful weather to enjoy K-State's campus. Saturday was absolutely gorgeous. And the campus was so pretty with all the trees changing colors. Enjoy these great pictures!

Previous Weekend

Let me backtrack for a moment. With all the traveling the past week, I wasn't able to post a few pictures from the weekend prior. Alexa and I went to Hays to visit her grandma and grandpa. Here are a few pictures...

Going to visit the Cats!

Alexa is excited to show her support to the Cats today. (Even though the football team is going to get destroyed!) We're taking her to visit Manhattan for the day. This will be the first visit since she was only 2 and half weeks old. Enjoy the pictures of Alexa in her KSU cheer outfit!

Kansas Weather

Here is a picture from last week. We had beautiful weather for several days. Alexa and I decided to treasure the rare sunny fall day in Kansas. Alexa let the wind blow through her hair while she played with some fun toys. In the meantime, I just sat there with her and relaxed with a good magazine. What a wonderful afternoon! Of course, that can quickly change in Kansas. A couple days later it started to rain for 2 days straight. And it happened to be on the day that Alexa and I played a girls' day out with Katelynn and her mommy. Aimee and I took the girls to Kansas City to shop for the day. Even though it was a dreary day, we enjoyed ourselves! The two girls did AWESOME for the car ride and through the shopping. They are going to be good shoppers when they're older. :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALEXA!

CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT ALEXA IS A YEAR OLD?? THAT'S AMAZING. WE HAVE BEEN THROUGH SO MUCH IN A YEAR. YES, THERE HAVE BEEN PLENTY OF DIFFICULT TIMES, ESPECIALLY WITH ALEXA'S HEALTH, ETC. BUT BOY, THERE HAVE BEEN SO MANY WONDERFUL MOMENTS! ONE THING FOR SURE IS THAT ALEXA IS A HAPPY BABY AND SHE LOVES TO BE LOVED. AND THERE ARE SO MANY PEOPLE THAT LOVE HER. EVERYTHING THAT WE'VE GONE THROUGH, WE DEFINITELY WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN ABLE TO DO IT WITHOUT ALL THE LOVE, SUPPORT, AND PRAYERS FROM ALL OUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE FOR SHARING THIS PAST YEAR WITH ALEXA!

OK, SO ONTO THE FUN STUFF - BIRTHDAY PARTIES! ALEXA HAD TWO BIRTHDAY PARTIES THIS YEAR AND THEY WERE BOTH AMAZING! WE CELEBRATED IN OLATHE WITH GRANDMA AND GRANDPA EWING, AUNT ANNA, AUNT TEDDI (VIA WEBCAM), AND MANY FRIENDS. ALEXA LOVED HER FIRST BIRTHDAY CAKE. YESTERDAY, ALEXA HAD A BIRTHDAY PARTY AT OUR HOME WITH MORE FAMILY AND FRIENDS. SHE WAS SO EXCITED TO HAVE SOME OF HER FAVORITE FRIENDS THERE: KATELYNN AND HER OLDER BROTHER CALEB, GABE, AND IN PRESENCE VIA HER MOMMY WAS OLIVIA. ALEXA WASN'T FEELING THE GREATEST BUT SHE WAS A TROOPER! SHE OPENED PRESENTS, ATE A LITTLE CAKE, AND JUST LOVED SEEING HER FRIENDS. THERE ARE PICTURES BELOW FROM THIS BIRTHDAY PARTY TOO.

TODAY HAS BEEN A RELAXING DAY WITH JUST ALEXA AND MOMMY. SHE HAD HER FIRST BOTTLE OF MILK AND LOVED IT! YEAH! SHE'S BEEN NAPPING OFF AND ON AND JUST DOING HER OWN SCHEDULE TODAY. IT IS A RAINY FALL DAY BUT PERFECT FOR JUST STAYING IN A RELAXING! SHE STILL ISN'T FEELING THE GREATEST (THOSE ALLERGIES AND CUTTING TEETH, AGAIN...) BUT SHE'S PRETTY HAPPY BECAUSE SHE CAN DO WHATEVER SHE WANTS TODAY.
