Summer of 2011 will have many changes for our small family. Adam pursued a new job that is moving our family to McKinney, Texas. Starting June 1, he is working for Traxxas. And if a move isn't a big enough change already, we are expecting a baby girl due July 19. Alexa already loves "baby sister"! We feel strongly that God has been clear on His plans for us and that makes us so excited for what is in our near future. As we are (sadly) leaving many amazing, amazing friends and family in Kansas, we felt it was important to start the blog back up so we can keep everyone in the loop. Thank you all for your never ending support on this adventure for our growing family!

Long Week
Sorry there are no photos or anything exciting for this week. It was a long week of both mom and Alexa being sick. We take Alexa out of daycare hoping that she won't get sick as much... but mom got her sick this time... Sorry Alexa!

First Day at Home with Mom
I know that I'm already slacking because I didn't take any pictures yet, but yesterday was our first day at home together - no work and no daycare! It went well. I was busy and didn't get much done yet, but we had a good time together. We spent most the morning at the doctor's office for a follow-up appointment on Alexa's allergies. The doctor thought she was doing much better! She weighed 20 lb 10 oz (with all her clothes on). Big girl!
We then came home, ate lunch, and Alexa went down for a nap. In her own bed! That was one of my goals because we hadn't made her nap in her bed yet on the weekends. However, she did yesterday and right now she's napping in her bed again!
After Alexa's nap yesterday, we went shopping. Alexa really enjoyed that and had a wonderful time! We played at home until Dad came home.
Alexa slept 11 hours straight last night! I guess is makes a difference when I only let her nap twice a day. Daycare let her nap 3-4 times.
Today started out well. Alexa was a in a happy mood because she had a good night's sleep. She ate oatmeal and peaches for breakfast. I don't think I've mentioned her favorite baby food so far - prunes! I'll try to take pictures at the next meal. I need find batteries for the camera...
Well hopefully you'll keep checking the blog. I should stay on it better! :)
